ADULT LEARN-TO-ROW (2019)

In the Adult Learn-to-Row program, you will be taught the basics of “sculling”, which will be done in 2 (double) or 4 (quad) person rowing shells. Rowers with some experience may get to row a single scull.

The first lesson will be on dry land as rowers will be required to learn the parts of the boat, rowing terminology, the essentials of the stroke, how to carry the boat to the dock and place the boat safely in the water.

In the balance of lessons you will enjoy the camaraderie of fellow rowers as you build self confidence, appreciate the efforts of teamwork, and learn how to scull so that by the end of the eight lessons you will have the confidence to head out on your own for a leisurely row on the beautiful Jordan Harbour

adult rowing Memberships (2020)

Just feel like rowing again? Maybe you belonged to another more formal club that continuously trained for races, completed drills, and relegated you to the same boat year after year.

That’s not our style. Get together with other rowers in a relaxed setting where relaxation, enjoyment, and exercise are combined. Your Rowing Membership entitles you to row in our coxed fours and eights, and upon demonstrating your sculling abilities, entitles you to use our many recreational and racing sculling boats. Our casual atmosphere allows you to row on your own, at your own pace, and enjoy the beautiful scenery that Jordan Harbour has to offer

We begin rowing by the end of April through to the middle of October.

Full annual membership for rowing: $475 and 4 hours volunteer help. Each additional family member $350.
