YOUTH

LEARN-TO-ROW
(JUNE  2021)

Youth Learn-to-Row will consist of two nights of rowing a week during the month of June.

The first lesson will be on dry land as rowers will be required to learn the parts of the boat, rowing terminology, the essentials of the stroke, how to carry the boat to the dock and place the boat safely in the water.

In the balance of the lessons, the kids will be taught to scull in 1 (singles), 2 (doubles) or 4 (quads) person rowing shells. The Youth Learn-to-Row will be for beginners learning to row, as well as for experienced rowers looking to improve their sweep rowing skills. If the weather does not allow us on the water, we will have a make-up lesson the same week.

Youth Learn-to-Row provides an excellent opportunity for elementary school athletes to prepare for high school rowing programs.

adult rowing Memberships (2021)

Just feel like rowing again? Maybe you belonged to another more formal club that continuously trained for races, completed drills, and relegated you to the same boat year after year.

That’s not our style. Get together with other rowers in a relaxed setting where relaxation, enjoyment, and exercise are combined. Your Rowing Membership entitles you to row in our coxed fours and eights, and upon demonstrating your sculling abilities, entitles you to use our many recreational and racing sculling boats. Our casual atmosphere allows you to row on your own, at your own pace, and enjoy the beautiful scenery that Jordan Harbour has to offer

We begin rowing by the end of April through to the middle of October.

Full annual membership for rowing: $475 and 4 hours volunteer help. Each additional family member $375.
